Beth Fernandez, Registered Dental Hygienist

Beth graduated high school from Ascension Catholic High in 2004. She then received her bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from LSU School of Dentistry in 2008. Beth visited Bruns Family Dental Center during her clinical rotations while in school. She enjoyed the staff and feel of the practice so much she was finally able to join the Bruns Family Dental Center team upon graduating. Beth was finally able to move back to her hometown of Prairieville, Louisiana, where she enjoys spending her free time with friends, shopping and spoiling her nieces.

Brittany Robb, Registered Dental Hygienist

Brittany graduated from Louisiana State University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. While in college, she was an LSU cheerleader and is still an avid Tiger fan! In her spare time, Brittany enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, shopping and playing Sudoku. Dental hygiene was always a goal for Brittany and she’s looking forward to a career in helping people obtain good oral health.

David Miley, EDDA Dental Assistant

David has been a dental assistant at Bruns Family Dental Center since January 2005. David is a 2004 graduate of Ascension College and received his Expanded Duty Dental Assistant certification in June 2005. Some of his duties include assisting chairside with the doctor, making temporary crowns, and sterilization. David's compassionate nature creates a comforting environment for all patients. David enjoys spending time with his family and friends and thoroughly enjoys LSU football.

Stephanie Neilsen, EDDA, CDD

Stephanie is originally from Buras, Louisiana. She graduated from Buras High School in 2003 and Eastern College in 2004. She then went on to pursue a career as a dental assistant. She has been with Bruns Family Dental Center since October of 2006. In May of 2008, she received her Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) certification. In December of 2008, she, David, Dr. Robert and Dr. Krista attended the Elements of Success certification course at the E4D University in Richardson, Texas allowing us to incorporate and utilize CAD-CAM dentistry. This allows us to make most crowns in our office, and in many cases a same-day delivery. In June of 2009, Stephanie became the first Certified Dental Designer in the entire state of Louisiana. She is happily married to Brad and they have one pet named Rita. Stephanie enjoys live music, shopping, “Tiki Tubing”, and spending time with her friends and family. Stephanie’s favorite quote is, "A laugh is a smile that bursts!"

Kala Sides, EDDA Dental Assistant

Kala graduated form the Dental Assisting program at Ascension College in 2009. Soon after completing the program, she joined Bruns Family Dental Center and in September 2009 she became EDDA certified. Kala is dedicated to making each patient feel comfortable and at ease when receiving dental treatment. She is married to her husband, Cory, and they have two sweet, loving dogs, Romeo and Bart. Kala enjoys reading, shopping, traveling, spending time with family and LSU football.

Britta Wilson, Practice Administrator

Britta is from Central City, Louisiana but now resides in Watson with her husband, two boys and two dogs. She graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing and was a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority and Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society. Britta has several years of healthcare-related experience and has been with Bruns Family Dental Center since November of 2006.

Deborah Conerly, Patient Care Specialist

Deborah is a widow and mother of two beautiful daughters, Lacy and Tenesha. She is also the grandmother of one grandson, Dillon. Deborah has over 20 years experience in the field of healthcare and communications. After having the pleasure of becoming acquainted with Dr. Robert Bruns and Dr. Krista Bennett-Bruns in 2003, Deborah has enjoyed being part of the fantastic family oriented dental practice. Deborah's position allows her to be the initial contact for all new patients, assisting them with appointments that accommodate their schedules, and assuring patients that they will receive the best care in a professional environment. Deborah enjoys her time away from the office by shopping, fishing, socializing, traveling and spending quality time with her family.

Monica Davis

Monica was born and raised right here in Baton Rouge. She and her husband, Greg, have been married for 12 years. They are the proud parents of three beautiful children, Brady, Dillon, and Grace. Monica never meets a stranger, which makes her a perfect fit for greeting patients and assisting them at Bruns Family Dental Center. She has obtained a wide range of computer skills and experience in customer relations throughout the years in various positions, most recently during her 9 years working in state government. When not at work, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, whether it is scrapbooking, traveling or providing childcare for her church’s nursery.

Carlette Fremin, Accounts Specialist

Carlette Fremin is a mother of two beautiful children, Francis and Eric. Carlette's background includes four years of active duty military and four years of reserve service in the Army. Carlette is the lifeline between patients and their insurance providers, making sure their claims are paid appropriately and in a timely manner. Carlette enjoys spending time with her children, planting various beautiful plants, participating in karaoke, socializing with friends and dancing.
